Brisket Ruben
Delicious, piled high and juicy
Meat Overload
Delicious! Good portions and perfectly seasoned and cooked brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. The mac and cheese was A+ with a great flavor and well cooked noodles (usually too soft and nearly falling apart). Collards were well cooked and had a nice tangy zip to them which help cut the fats from the meats making for a very nice balance. The baked beans were thick and rich with a dark molasses flavor. The rice beans and andouille were also impressively flavored and was a generous portion. Very nice staff and owner, will certainly be back soon!
Pork Lovers Nachos
AWSOME and a huge portion Had to to take half home
BBQ Burrito
This burrito is fantastic. I had mine with brisket. It has the perfect balance between meat, rice, beans, and cheese. Because of that, the Don's wonderful brisket was still center stage.
Texas Caviar
The Texas Caviar black bean & corn salad is AMAZING. I am not a corn person and thought that this would be a filler item, but it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. It has a vinegar sauce that's just the right level of tart and sweet and keeps great for leftovers. We even froze some extra we got for catering and it was perfect! Highly recommend.
BBQ Burrito
I had a chicken burrito. It was one of the best burritos I have ever had. It was even lightly browned on the outside which is very traditional, and Don made it hot at my request.
Brisket by the pound
Brisket was tender and juicy, with a perfect bark. Will be back for more of this and to try the burnt ends
Texas Chili
That's the Best !! In addition of that, Be Local, Shop Local !!
Andouille Sausage & Rice
This dish is a must. The sausage is fantastic and blends perfectly with the rice for an excellent, hearty side or mail meal. Bit spicy, but not too much. Highly recommend.
Collard Greens
These are absolutely amazing. I'm from Virginia and love collard greens and these blew me away. A punch of flavor, the right amount of spice, and chock full of meat. Fabulous!
